As you may know, I recently returned to college after a 17-year absence. The first class in which I enrolled (because I just couldn't WAIT to learn about this topic) was Texas Politics and Government. I totally wrote that question wrong. In my mind, I was thinking of voters who are unable or unwilling to vote in the primary (like the ones who didn't register by the 2-Feb deadline). If they missed that deadline, they could still register in time to vote in the runoff. And without voting in the primary, a voter could then vote in any party's runoff, since party affiliations expire at the end of each year.
This is the way I understand it, at least. But I could be wrong ... that's why I'm taking this course!

But even though you missed the deadline for the March primaries, you can still register in time for any runoff elections in April. And you certainly don't want to miss the big election in November.
You can do it online ... fill out the answers, print the form and then just mail it in. I think it's even postage-paid! Here's the Secretary of State's web site with the form: https://webservices.sos.state.tx.us/vrapp/index.asp
Thanks so much for completing my poll!
