He approached the Gryffindor table, not daring to lower himself to her position and sit upon the bench. Instead, he chose to glance down his nose at her, his lips still tilted in that wicked grin. "Bit lost in your thoughts, Weasley? I can understand why . . . You don't go rummaging through them all too often." Fingers coursed through blond locks before he shifted, glancing to the door as if he were awaiting one certain arrival. Harry left the common room slightly warmer than he had been going into it. Sacrificing his relationship with Ginny for her safety would be much easier if she... let it be sacrificed. But, due to a warm nature and a deep friendship and history between them both she continued to be a close and affectionate friend. Especially affectionate. Which often left him decidedly overheated and with sensation that his trousers were a few sizes too small. It was maddening. With these thoughts in his head and the imprint of her hand still burning his back he wandered into the Great Hall and met the two people he least wanted to see...for two very different reasons. Picking the lesser of the two evils he stepped next to Ginny.

When he'd turned back around, he was pleased to see that his house table was far less lonely than it was before. Smirking, he made himself comfortable between Crabbe and Goyle, watching the 'happy couple' from across the room.

Before Daphne got comfortable at her table, she eyed the blonde over at the Gyffindor table with disbelief. ‘Draco, out of all people…’ the girl thought and gave a look of confusion to the scene across the hall. However though, Daphne just shook everything off and had herself a cup of earl grey tea.
