Just some stuff

Hey all. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to write a little vingette about Hogwarts Spirit, and what it is. Once the time comes, and it won't be for a while now, I thought it'd be nice to have 'guidelines' for those who are submitting nominations for the recipient of the Spirit Cup. Also, if everyone could comment to this and leave a ( Read more... )

Thanks. That sounds about right; I don't think I have much else to add. :) I guess they should participate in discussion that arise in the main community. They should contribute new ideas to better the community and participate in contests to help earn points for their house. They should be enthusiastic and helpful. Also, they should get along fairly well with the other members - no comment war starters or anything. :P Hmm ... Yeah, not much else.

I agree on the essay contest because, like you, I have no talent with graphics since I'm lacking in cool programs. :P We could give a new layout/icon/banner or something like that to the winner.

Again, thanks for your participation in the community! I love feedback, but get so little of it. :(

"I don't know how we would really determine this, but I would like it to also be someone who is active in their house community as well."
I have access to all the common rooms, so I could probably keep track of this one -- I'd have to check with Blaze to see how much info I'm allowed to bring back to hogwartssorting, but I'm sure we could figure something out.

Could that be considered as a little push for who a person should vote for? I don't want anyone to think we're trying to influence them or pressure them into voting for a person. I think we should leave it to the houses to vote for the person most active in their own common room (if they choose) and let them determine the other house votes by their own observations.

Just a thought. I'm not sure how pushy that would seem or, otherwise, how much choice that would give them if we're coming in and saying "Hey! So and so is really active in Ravenclaw! Sounds like Spirit to me!" :P
