Pip is back with our longest application yet! Woot!!
Welcome to hogwarts_unity! Your application will be stamped on Wednesday, December 19 after 7 p.m. EST.
The Founding Four Petra, Sam, Clare, and Elise
+5 to me of Gryffindor! (Yeah, I know right? But changes must be made when two snakes for a new community, and in all honesty this past year has changed me a lot. Anyways...yay!)
Well, sheesh. What a nice long application... makes the rest of us look bad ;-)
The very length of your application just shouted Ravenclaw, it indicates a lot of thought and insight. Also, a sharpie, your journal, and your laptop as most valued items/things seen in the Mirror of Erised all indicate Ravenclaw to me. You analyze "danger" from several angles in Question 19. You know that all five wells in the Question 21 all have pros and cons. And you can differentiate between wisdom and intelligence =) And I like your answer to Question 20. And being able to tell the world apart in shades of grey, instead of in black and white.
Yay for stage crew! I did stage crew for three years (fourth year was AD, a whole 'nother story) =) What shows are you guys doing this year?
Re: RavenclawpippageDecember 14 2007, 10:25:22 UTC
XD Thank you very much! I got dragged in (literally) last year, during a two-week hell-week for Grease. We needed moar stage right hands, and I was friends with techies. It was nuts, with a real car, all of us hanging out backstage, and pushing that damn cube. Come strike, we all tore viscously at the cube. I was hooked, after that. We do two shows, sometimes three, with this year's being "My Son Is Crazy, But Promising" (the fall play) and "Beauty and the Beast" (the upcoming spring musical).
Our directer/guy in charge is nuts, by the way. He promptly went and spent everything we had for this show in the anticipation it will be a sell-out. Including an all new sound system, body mikes, you name it. And we're doing five shows, including a Saturday matinée and evening show. It's absolutely CRAZY. Including the fact he's renting costumes, we're apparently building a two-story castle on stage, roughly a tenth of the school will be in the play... the list goes on. And our rival school, across town, is doing Les Mis, so things are going

Haha that's a bit more noble of a reason than why I went in to stage crew - a guy I liked was a Techie, then I got to liking stage crew so much I stayed even when I didn't have a crush on the guy anymore. Oooh your plays sound fun! Haha that's great, having a real car. Did someone drive it? I think that the most exciting thing we had was a live goat.
Oh man, that will be very interesting, you should let me know if it actually turns out to be a sell-out. Wow! That's very intense, good luck!! Heh you all should just have the day off school the day of the first performance, just to make sure that everything's running properly (because you know that something always breaks at the last minute...)
That happened to me, too! Our rival school theatre did Les Mis when we were doing Macbeth. Macbeth, I ask you.
First of all, I must say that I noticed many similarities between you and me. There was a lot of things, like your love for music, and your Janet Evanovich books, that made me go, "Hey! I'm like that."
I was torn between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw for you, because there is a lot about you that screams both.
Hufflepuff because of your responses regarding your family and friends, and how loyal you are to them, and your love for them. The way your friends affect you, and the mentions of your tribe.
But then I look at your writing, and your creativity. The fact that you are intelligent. Some of your answers just totally wowed me and made me so totally unsure what it made me think of because of the way they were articulated, which in itself makes me think Ravenclaw. You seem very rational, as in the third part of your answer to 19. You accept that in some cases you just can't do anything.
So yeah, I think I'm gonna hafta go with Ravenclaw.
I actually don't see where the Ravenclaw is coming from at all, personally. I think I would have to basically say that you are me but more amusing, because I am incredibly dull. By like me I mean you are a fairly healthy dose of Slytherin and Gryffindor. Now, I know you think of yourself as a Slyth, my little snake, but allow me to explain:
I was ready to sort you into your usual Slytherin until I read your answer to #4
The only way to get me to join would be to hold my family and friends under the gun. Put a gun to my head, I probably won’t comply. Put a gun to my sister’s head? What do you want me to do, sir? I am not strong enough in my morals to put them about lives other than my own.The fact that you would sacrifice yourself to save your loved ones is very Gryff (can you say Lily Potter?) and it is because of that question that I finally decided upon Gryffindor

... The day the beloved Petra becomes dull is the day Bad Things Happen. Involving various places freezing over and pigs with wings.
I'm a little weirded out. I haven't seen a single vote for Slytherin throughout the entire comm.
BAH. I is just a simple snakey-at-heart.
By the way, can I get permission to change some really, really dumb spelling mistakes? In particular-
"subtle as a lap in the face" (... actually, that one is kinda funny) "I’ll care a bit if I tale pains" (take pains) "I know have classes" (I now) "a lazy bug" (ladybug) "being sung by may different throats" (many) "even if it’s never been proving" (never been proven)
There are other, dumb things, but theses have been annoying me. *headdesk*

Hullo there! How art thou? Welcome to Unity!
Ima have to go with Petra on this one for exactly the same reason, which is kind of annoying because now I don't really have anything to say.
So yeah, Throughout the application, I noticed that you have quite a dedication to the ones you love, and I think that, though that can be applied to many different houses, it rings Gryffie to me.
I also have no idea where the Ravenclaw is coming from. My second choice would inexplicably be Slytherin (I can't come up with any legit proff for this, but I sort of got the vibe).
