What is a LIMS competition?
A Last Icon Maker Standing (LIMS) competition is organized in rounds and each round will consist of a number of challenges (depending on how many people signed up for the round).
After each challenge a certain number of contestants will be eliminated from the competition until there's only one participant left, the Last Icon Maker Standing.
What do I have to do in order to participate?
You need to sign up at the most recent sign-up post within the time for signing up. Once the competition starts you'll need to submit an entry or use a skip every week.
What is a skip?
If you are unable to participate in a challenge you can opt to use a skip for that challenge. You will automatically be carried trhough to the next challenge. Every participants gets one skip automatically by signing up.
Can I earn more skips?
By promoting the community and posting a link with your promotion to the sign-up post you can earn one additional skip.
How does the immunity for winning people's choice work?
Getting immunity for winning people's choice means you cannot be voted off in the next challenge. You still need to submit an icon (or use a skip), but even if you have the lowest score you will be carried through to the next challenge (in that case the entry with the second lowest score is eliminated).
Will there be a comeback challenge?
Yes, once the competition is down to 8 participants there will be a comeback challenge. Everyone who got voted off (not dropped out by not entering) will be eligible to enter the comeback challenge.
Do I have to be a member at hogwartsishome to participate?
No, hogwartslims is open for everyone, you do not have to be a member of any other community.
I am a member at hogwartsishome, how can I earn points for my house?
You earn points for your house by signing your sign-up comment and all your icon submissions with name and house. The amount of points you can earn can be found in the rules (on the userinfo page).
You also get 5 points for voting with sufficient reasoning.
I decided to join hogwartsishome during the current round. Can I still earn points for my house?
Yes, as long as you remember to sign your comments with name and house you will earn your house points from the moment you joined. Previously entered challenges will not earn you any points in retrospect.
