GENERAL QUESTIONS

Your Name?: Marissa

Age?: 21

Gender?: Female

Location?: Malaysian but currently in Japan.

Horoscope?: Aquarius.

Likes?: Open mindedness, books, music(any genre/language), musicals, comedies, mythology, astrology, technology, sarcasm, movies, sexy antagonists~

Dislikes?: I absolutely loathe close mindedness, racism, prejudice, selfishness, etc. I'm also not too fond of horror movies, exams and vegetables. Also, being ignored, being patronized, being mocked, being left behind.

Hobbies?: Reading(I really love reading), listening to music(nearly all the time), surfing the net, gaming, movies, learning languages, guitar.

Favourite quote/saying/lyric?: "I will survive." Well, it isn't exactly a favourite quote but it's sort of my motto in my life, to remind myself when life gets me down. I also love this quote by Douglas Adams: The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be.

What are your strengths?: I'm open minded and outgoing. My friends say that I'm friendly and kind. I'm also resourceful, honest, strong-minded, loyal and responsible.

What are your weaknesses?: Lack of focus, I tend to start things but don't finish them. I'm lazy and procastinate a lot. I can be a little too sensitive and unfortunately my face does show it before I can cover it up. I can also be stubborn and proud(not really in a boasting way, although sometimes I do that, but in a 'not asking people for help even though I need help because I don't want them to look down on me' way. I can also be indecisive.

What do you like best about yourself?: I like my uniqueness. I like that I'm open minded and willing to accept people for who they are. Physically, I like my hair and my skin.

What are your goals or aims in life?: Graduate from university, get a financially secure job, travel the world, have a happy family, learn more languages, learn to play more musical instruments.

PERSONAL QUESTIONS

Which character from Harry Potter, DISCLUDING the obvious answer of Harry, would you say you most admire and why?: Harry is an obvious answer?????
I admire Severus Snape the most. Even though he was a Death Eater, he came back to the side of good. As a Slytherin, you might think he did this because of self-preservation but no, he even became a spy, and endangered his life for the greater good. True, he isn't a saint, but that makes all that he's done even more admirable. I love his character because there's more to him than meets the eye. He embodies all the traits of Hogwarts, he was courageous, clever, cunning, and loyal(not to mention hardworking).

I also admire Fleur, for sticking by her man and standing up to Molly. And Luna for her uniqueness. And Lucius and Narcissa, for putting family first.

Which Hogwarts subjects would you be best and worst at - or otherwise like and dislike most?: I probably wouldn't be too good at Herbology. I don't have a green thumb at all and I'm not much of a gardening person. I'd probably like Charms and Defense of the Dark Arts because those subjects are useful and seem fun to learn. And if I like something, I'd usually be good at it.

Which house would you WANT to be in, or which do you have most respect for and why?: I like all the houses because I admire all the traits that they embody. I'd probably prefer something prestigious though if I'm honest. Anyway, I can't decide on which house I'd want to be in with a logical, mature reason for that decision. I want to be in Gryffindor because I love the colour red. I want to be in Slytherin because, well, they have a badass reputation. XP Ok, I'd probably want to be in either Gryffindor or Slytherin.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?: I'd wish I was healthier and more fit. I also wouldn't want my face to be so uncontrollably emotionally expressive because i don't like it when people see that I'm sad or mad.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?: For people to stop being prejudice because that only generates hate, and people to stop focusing on the differences but see what's the same and to accept the differences because variety is the spice of life. And also for people to actually care about the environment and the animals. We're not the only creatures on this Earth, you know!

How much use would magic have in your current everyday life?: It'd be very useful. It saves energy and is better for the environment compared to our current technology. Plus, I'm lazy so moving things around with a wave of a wand sounds pretty useful to me. Haha.

If you had one day left to live, what would you do?: This is after I get over the shock right? I'd be planning my last words. Haha. Gotta go with a bang. Nothing like leaving a lasting impression. Seriously though, I'd probably spend it with my loved ones doing things I want to do.

Tell us three random things about yourself:
- I can speak 3 languages fluently and learning 2 more languages. So far.
- I love the colour red.
- I am random.

THIS OR THAT QUESTIONS

Realism or Idealism?: Both but probably a little bit more idealism.
Optimism or Pessimism?: Depends on my mood actually. Sometimes I can be optimistic, sometimes I can be pessimistic.
Order or Flexibility?: Flexible order. I like order but not if it's restricting. Hmm, so I guess flexibility.
Planning or Spontaneity?: Planning. Although not to the point of panicking when nothing goes according to plans.
Goals or Dreams?: Goals. When you focus on making your dreams come true, that's when they become goals.
Practical or Abstract?: Both actually.
The Individual or The Collective?: The Individual.
Standing your ground or Surrendering?: Standing my ground although sometimes surrendering is another way to victory.
Lover or Fighter?: ...Lover, I guess.
Impulsive or Cautious?: Cautious. Like I said before, I think things through before making a decision/taking action.
Mature or Immature?: I'd like to think I'm mature although I accept that I can be immature sometimes.

SITUATIONAL / IN-STORY QUESTIONS

Would you hex someone who was bothering you there and then?: Define 'bothering'. I probably won't hex someone for bothering me. There are other less troublesome ways to deal with someone who's bothering you.

What do you see in the Mirror of Erised?: Ummm... right now I'm not too sure what I'd see. Maybe me, with my loved ones all safe, being respected and admired and powerful and happy.

What special wizarding power - i.e. Animagi, Metamorphagi, being a Seer - would you want to have?: I think being a Seer would be useful. I can see what could happen in the future and if it's something harmful, then I could try to prevent it.

In what situation would you use an Unforgiveable curse?: If somebody threatens my loved ones or something important to me.

Be honest - if you were in the wizarding community, what view would you take on blood heritage? (If you don't know, perhaps put your current views of class and the like into context): I wouldn't think it mattered because I am strongly against prejudice. What matters is a person's integrity and capabilities. Not their blood. I mean, you could be descended from a great, powerful wizard, but if you, yourself, aren't a great, powerful wizard then I wouldn't think your blood is of any particular importance.

Imagine the Death Eaters come to your house, you being the head of an average wizarding family. They say join them, or otherwise give them ONE member of the family. What do you choose to do? What action perhaps would you take after making this decision? I'd join them for the sake of my family. Maybe try to take them down from the inside. Unless, of course, my family can take them. Then we'd teach them a lesson for even daring to threaten us.

Colin Creevey has been following you around all day, trying to get you to teach him a new secret spell he saw you do that he thought was cool. What do you do?: I might teach him if I'm sure there's no harm in doing that.

Would you rather be attacking up close and personal, hiding far off using a type of long range attacks, or not on the battle field at all?: I'd probably prefer hiding far off using a type of long range attack. Nobody said you can't be safe while attacking. Haha. Actually, I'd prefer attacking from far off so that I can keep an eye on the battle and give support where it's needed. If I'm attacking close and personal, then I'd be too focused on the fight to probably notice anything.

FINAL QUESTIONS

If you could become any character from the series for one day - 24 hours - who would it be?: Ummmmm.... ummmm.... Luna Lovegood. I love her unique mind and it'd be great fun being able to do a strange as her for a day.

If you were given the chance to permanently become part of the HP-verse (as "yourself"), would you take it?: Yes. The idea of a world with magic appeals to me.
