You didn't like The DaVinci Code because of bad writing, and yet you have Desperate Housewives as your current "music"? LOL
Bad writing, by the way, is an excuse for dislike of Dan Brown that I found kind of lame. Most bestsellers aren't examples of "great" writing. King, Crichton, Grisham...none of them are stellar writers. Hell, I hate myself for it, but J.K. Rowling is not that fabulous. Plus, consider history. Back in the day, Dickens was an equivalent. His novels came out, a few chapters at a time every couple of months, in serial format. These were the books for the masses, cheap things that could be bought, read, then thrown away when you were ready for the next episode. He wasn't really what the educated, upper classes were reading. And yet, here we are today, with every 9th grader loathing Great ExpectationsSuch is life. Accept Dan Brown for what he is. Fluff that the general public likes to read, and that literary twits like myself like to read when we want to be brainless. :) Movie was the same. A bit of action, Ian
