    There was a time, when Mele was small, that he was getting bathed weekly.  I started a playgroup, so that he could be socialized well with other dogs.  Several of the attendees were clients from the hospital, but I found someone with a Newfoundland puppy online.  Mele and the puppy got along well, but he always wound up covered with slobber by

Eowyn thinks that grooming and so forth is a Game, and that the best form of Games is Keep Away. This means that when I bring out the brush, she'll dart a few steps away, but then get irritated if I respond by putting it away again rather than chasing her down to brush her.

We need to work on this, but it's hard with a baby around. That said, seeing your dog lay her head between your 3-month-old's knees? Cutest thing Ever.
