Chapter 1: I knew I liked you? I knew I hated you is more like it...
The Train started moving slowly as I reached where I was heading to. I looked outside and took in the view of the city life. It was exciting to be here and I couldn't wait to get off and start searching around. As I did, there was a commotion on the other side of the train. I decided to not make it my business and continued walking as the train came to a complete stop and I headed out its futuristic doors. As soon as I stepped outside, the first thing I noticed was the harrasing. What the fuck? I watched as girls took their phones out, while a seemingly freakish guy stood there, desperately trying to cover his face. It was a sad sight. I started walking away from the crowded scene.
"oppa! Oppa! can I have an autograph?!"
"Oppa! I loved your hair the Photoshoots last month!"
I picked up my pace. I really, really disliked stuff like this, but the curiosity to know who it was took over me and I couldn't help but continue looking back.
"oppa! why are you covering yourself?"
"yeah take it off!!"
That about did it for me. Against my will, my legs started moving on their own and they turned themselves around towards the mysterious person. I got suddenly nervous as I noticed I looked like a weirdo walking back to where I was. I looked lost. It was mortifying. Before I knew it, I had joined the crowd that would not let this poor innocent....guy, be. It was awesome. My first celebrity stalking session. Everyone had their cellphones out, speaking at the same time, pushing and a bit of shoving, especially the girls. I felt a bony school girl's elbow in my arm. It was thrilling as I elbowed her back on purpose.
I hadn't made myself too close to the front but there was suddenly an opening amongst the people and it was then that I felt my stomach drop down to the floor and back. I couldn't believe my eyes. My heart started beating faster, my cheeks burning, my skin sweating. It was impossible, such good luck, I thought to myself.
They started to shove towards the front to get a better look. This was crazy even for me. And I was a CRAZY fan..so for THIS to happen and freak me out took alot. I felt kinda bad for him, so I tried turning around. It was pretty much impossible since there were so many people. But then I got this crazy Idea.
I should probably get him out of here.
How? don't ask me, I was just thinking then.
All of a sudden, in shock and horror to even myself, I started pushing and shoving frontwards. I always kinda felt I wanted to make a freakishly unique first impression and this about did it I suppose.
"Excuse me!" I said in English to everyone in my way.
Obviously no one knew who I was but just the mere fact that I LOOKED foreign was enough to make them move out of my way. In my head, I was screaming at myself "what the hell are you doing??!!" and "Are you out of your fuckin' mind?" but my body unwillingly made its way to the front, holding on to my purse like dear life and hoping security could do their job for once. Once I reached the "front" of the circle, there he stood in all his tall graciousness. Covered up, and looking completely mental of course, but gorgeous none the less. I was pretty speechless but I summed up all the courage I had within me to speak what I said next.
"C-Chansung-ssi, ah there you are"
He looked at me Awkwardly, just as what seemed to be one hundred other pairs of eyes were doing.
"W-We have to go now, you have a schedule next" I added, hoping he couldn't tell how nervous I was.
I grabbed on to my purse, hoping really, really bad that the clenching of it's handle would stop me from shaking. He looked at me, and nodded for no reason. Poor guy must've definitely not known what else to do so he lowered himself to rely on what ever it was my brain was planning. I felt a happy little smile threaten to appear on my face as he nodded and straightened himself up, willing to follow me out of here. I turned around and in my conceited act of success, I took out my phone and pretended to call someone important, speaking mostly English. I wanted to laugh so bad, mostly because I knew I wasn't fooling anyone with my fake act. People Made their way a bit, but still attempted to shove soon. As soon as he started moving, that unavoidable prophecy my brain had made came true as I started to get squished, as well as him, from side to side. Eventually, security came along to finally help control the fan crowd. I was surprised when they helped both of us out, really believing I was someone from the company. Is this a stars life? I wouldn't want to be a star if this is what they have to go through all the time.
We, and the crowd, made our way through the Airport like Station of Seoul. As soon as we were near one of the exits, the guards saw it fit to finally make some time for Chansung to escape without being followed. There were no word exchanges between us, or the guards before he began telling us which way to walk to be in a safe distance, and when.
"As soon as you hit the corner at the end of this hall, you make a right at the Restrooms. Theres an emergency Exit there" a particularly tall Guard told us.
"Make sure you push and close the door behind you, or else they'll be able to follow you" he added, never looking back at us.
Us. That still sounded funny to me. I wanted to giggle for no reason.
People turned and since the station itself was full of people at this hour, there was a larger crowd now. I couldn't believe that just the one guy could do all this chaos. Imagine if it would've been all of them, they would've murdered me. Which made me realize, why the hell did he decided to follow me out of all people? and Why is it that he didn't think I would've just jumped him, like all the lusty girls in the room were apparently trying to do.
Before I could continue questioning myself, the guard turned around and yelled something I couldn't hear. I hadn't realized he had given us the sign to run as he had told us. The bright lights of the place made my daze even worst, since I could see the dark sky outside the tall windows.
"What are you waiting for?!?!" They told me. I did as I could and turned to see if Chansung was there. And that when I noticed that HE had already started running. BASTARD. He couldn't have tapped me out of my daze or something?!
I started running, thanking the gods, any and all of them, that I had worn tennis shoes instead of the heels a friend suggested. Which was ironically in case I ended up in a situation, less dramatic though, like this one.
I heard the fangirls scream and start pushing the many guards there and it was then I realized if I didn't pick up my pace, I would be trampled or killed. Korean fangirls are nuts. I spotted him a few feet ahead of me, as I passed some very confused people. The Already strong lights of the Station became seizure lights to me as I breathed heavily trying to catch up with this long legged Beast. Suddenly I bumped into his back as I had finally catched up with him. He didn't care and pushed the exit door like he was supposed to. Not much of a talker, I thought to myself just as he finally was able to open the door. The Cold air from the outside hit my face, making me squint a bit.
"Hurry up!" he yelled at me, as he started Running a bit slower once outside. I followed him turning back to see if we had been seen. We apparently weren't as no one came rushing through the door, but that didn't slow down our pace. Once we had made it far enough to a place that seemed empty enough, I couldn't take it anymore and I let out a loud sigh of frustration and relief all in one. He breathed heavily as well. I bended forward, placing both my hands on my knees trying to regain my lost breath. What the hell had just happened? I took a glance at Chansung and he looked almost embarrassed. But as quickly as my pity for him came, my anger took over. What the hell was he thinking? was he not aware he was a public figure that couldn't just be walking around. And from judging the crowds reaction to his presence...the guy was a walking disaster. Thank you lord for my constant denial, I could at least think more properly. But his face absolutely gorgeous in person. I shouldn't have looked at him, since as soon as my thought had ended, he turned up from his phone and looked at me.
he cleared his throat awkwardly and looked to the side a bit, almost as if he was scared of what I would do to him.
"Ahem....Kansahamnida" he said, bowing a bit towards me.
What was this? Thats it? after all the hell he just put me through, he just says thank you? not that i was expecting something else, but at least a Thank you with more enthusiasm would've been better. I scoffed. I was mad now.
"Don't just go walking around like people won't recognize you...." I told him with a harsh tone. Who the hell tells him to make trouble?
"...HWANG CHANSUNG" I said, dragging out his name a bit. His eyes widened in surprise.
"you know who I am??" he told me.
"No, I can read your mind." I said sarcastically.
"Don't come any closer" he threatened me, his arm and hand sticking out, pointing at me in an accusing manner.
"oh please, relax yourself." I told him. I was offended.
"Next time youre in a situation like this, at least try to be a little more thankful if someone gives you a hand. Jerk."
And with that, I turned around and walked away, despite hearing him calling out to me.
"Yah!"
Screw you.
