About the Britney Spears songs- all of those girls have some great songwriters doing the work for them. There's a Teddy Thompson cover of Oops I Did It Again that's *amazing*. And Ted Leo covered Since U Been Gone and made it one of the most fun songs ever. Meh, it's the whole image that kills the songs. Oh, and if they wrote at least part of them by themselves with a guitar. =)
