Sharing the Pain of the In Progress stories
So both tanarian and teachwriteslash have stepped up and admitted the list of in-progress stories they have. I wanted to show them that they aren't alone. So here's the stack of what's not moving here at the Casa (I live in California, we're allowed to use Spanish) in honor of Teach's birthday.
The Sum of Our Memories
Another in the odd Something that Starts with S verse involving memories loss set after the Gatekeeper story. This has stalled for quite some time.
A Lost Art
A seriously stalled Ianto & Tosh friendship piece. Someday this story will be completed because there can never be enough of either character.
Resurrection
Another S3 fix it for the Dreamwidth Flashfic community. I have no idea why this one stalled. I thought it was pretty good, then I slammed into a brick wall.
The Price of Enlightenment
I am utterly frustrated with this story. It cooperates for a few days and then just nothing. I've mentioned it to others in passing as a WIP that predates S3, but would end up be S3 compliant. At over 20k words already, it isn't even close to being finished. Damn thing.
Domestic
An ugly S3 compliant short story that drips venom and pain. I don't know if it will ever be finished.
Torchwood/Harry Potter crossover
I started this because the ever gentle bookwrm89 started a community and I wanted to participate. What was supposed to be something like 2-5k words said, "Hi, you are utterly screwed my friend. I'm the Teach/Tanarian plot bunny machine and this will now expand into at least 20k. Good luck with that." Now I'm trapped.
So there you have it, the WIPs. This doesn't include the day job stuff, which happens to be- you guessed it- more writing.
