Log tag #1 Log tag #2 PORTAL entries tag PORTAL responses tag savior_n_black: Shiro is the Inner Hollow of Ichigo, and was separated from him when Harry Dresden, a wizard, thought that Shiro was an evil force possessing Ichigo. His magic tore the soul and body in two, leaving it connected only by a spiritual chain. At first, Shiro had only animosity for his former "landlord", and wished to stretch his wings and enjoy his new freedom by causing as much trouble as possible. Dismayed when he couldn't destroy Ichigo once and for all (thanks to their connection), Shiro lashed out. But slowly, the Hollow learned that he attracted more flies with honey than vinegar, and learned what it meant to be "human". That he had to be respectful to earn respect. Ichigo taught him most of this. Protecting Ichigo, and growing stronger with him, became his goal. They spent more and more time together, even more than they had when they shared a body, and their relationship grew into a very complex beast. Shiro sees Ichigo as a rival, a brother, a partner, and sometimes lover. It's fucked up, but it seems to work for them.
snowwhitesoul: Another Shinigami from Shiro's world, and a close friend of Ichigo. She was present when Ichigo and Shiro split. Initially, Rukia treated Shiro much like an animal, and in return, Shiro showed her very little respect. There were a few instances of fights, and marker throwing, and thievery of shoes and clothes. Thanks to Ichigo's intervention, these fights never really escalated. However, Rukia and Shiro both care about Ichigo very much, and it was through this mutual bond that they slowly began to respect each other, and eventually, became friends. And now? Maybe even more than that, again, thanks to Ichigo. Shiro is glad that the tiny Shinigami no longer views him as an enemy. It makes life so much more pleasant. Shiro has brought Rukia into the small fold of people that he likes enough to protect.
ofnoblemind: Rukia's adoptive brother and one of the first people to ever see Shiro, before Ichigo "tamed" him. During their battle, Shiro took over Ichigo's body and very nearly killed Byakuya. In Promenade, Shiro never let the Shinigami captain forget it. He taunts and prods Byakuya mercilessly, hoping to get a rise out of the stoic man. Getting Byakuya to twitch quickly became one of Shiro's favorite pastimes. Thanks to Ichigo's constant vigilance, the poking and prodding never made it to a full-on fight. Shiro and Byakuya butt heads over Rukia, and her happiness.
windheir: John Egbert is an interesting, and somewhat annoying, human, in Shiro's opinion. The two met when they were both made "knights" by the dark elf Lioriley. Shiro's first encounter with John's prankster side came when the boy decided to throw a cake at Ichigo. Shiro never really got to know John very well, but he is not particularly belligerent towards the kid.
notglitching: Shiro knows Rinzler through Ichigo, who believes the mute program is just sad or lonely or messed up or something like that. But Shiro sees him for what he is, which is an unstable and potentially very dangerous threat. Their relationship is tentative, at best, and Shiro mostly keeps an eye on the program to make sure he doesn't betray Ichigo's misplaced trust.
destinedwaters: Another ally met in the heat of battle, Shiro and Aqua became acquainted when they were both taking a break from fighting hordes of monsters invading the darkened city. Aqua thought Shiro was some sort of Heartless, or Unversed, and the two spent a bit of time discussing the differences and similarities between the creatures of Darkness with which the Keyblade Master was familiar with, and Hollows. Shiro is also very interested in her weapon, and her command of magic.
history:
Bleach Wiki personality: Hollow Ichigo is the pure incarnation of killer instinct. He serves as Ichigo's Id, representing everything he suppresses, as well as Ichigo's innate desire to fight. This is exemplified most simply by their expressions; while Ichigo normally wears a scowl, Shiro wears a smile. Unlike Ichigo, who does not kill his opponents, the Hollow has no issues with slaughtering anyone who gets in his way. He is not all bloodlust, however. Just mostly. He serves as a foil to Ichigo, a looking-glass who picks at the Shinigami's innermost flaws and vices, poking and prodding him to make him stronger. And that, truly, is what Shiro wants. He desires to make Ichigo stronger and to keep him alive, even going so far as to risk his own unsteady existence to protect Ichigo. This is both because he is a part of Ichigo (a boy who is nothing if not a sworn protector of EVERYTHING EVER, and the Hollow gets a good deal of that protective instinct himself) and because he desires to take over Ichigo and make their body his and his alone. Making Ichigo stronger is a process not unlike fattening up a cow before it is to be taken to the slaughter.
At least, initially. Back when he was first “born”, taking over and becoming the one true “king” of his and Ichigo’s existence was his only goal. After being defeated and subverted by Ichigo in a battle, however, the Hollow was forced to reconsider his methods. He still seeks to help Ichigo become as strong as possible and to protect him from death, but no longer desires to take him over, at least as much. Despite being a highly instinctual creature, he is not completely incapable of thought and planning, and he knows that by working together with Ichigo and Zangetsu, instead of fighting against them, they as a unit can become stronger than any of them could be on their own.
The Hollow often pretends to be less aware and more ignorant than he actually is, as a way of making others underestimate him. He often claims to not know things, to not care, or to have no explanations. Sometimes, this may be the case. Other times, he may just be fibbing. However, for the most part, the Hollow does not lie. Why lie when the truth is so much more powerful? Additionally, he acts quite childish and immature, throwing fits when he doesn't get what he wants and acting a bit like a brat.
All in all, in canon, he seeks to be the strongest, seeks to protect Ichigo and he initially desires to consume him entirely. Though in his last appearance, it seems that he has reconciled a bit and is more willing to work with Ichigo rather than against him. However, he continues to be antagonistic.
In the game, Shiro has his own body, while still being spiritually linked to Ichigo. If one is injured, the other feels it. If one is experiencing some sort of euphoria, the other will as well. If one is killed, the other will no doubt experience some deleterious effects to their health (coma, perhaps even shared death). Shiro has been forced to reexamine his choices, as well as dealing with the problems that come with having a physical body to call his own. Even after a year of being out and about on his own, many experiences are still new and interesting, and sensations are novel and interesting. A somewhat childlike curiosity for this world is to be expected, as well as an equally immature love of pranks and mischief. Anything to get under Ichigo and his nakama's skins for his own amusement. Shiro shows a bit more maturity, now, after a year of learning and growing. He even acts more mature than Ichigo, sometimes. The young Hollow has grown much in a year, but still has a lot to learn, and many issues to work through.
abilities/powers: Appearance Modification: Being a creature of flexible appearance based on his moods and whims and Ichigo's needs, he is able to modify his looks quite extensively, as shown by the list below;
•Skin Color: Ivory or Peach (Ichigo's skin tone)
•Hair Color: White or Orange
•Hair Length: Short and Spiky or Waist-length
•Claws, Fur Trim, Tail: Present or Absent
**Most, if not all, permutations are available. His appearance changes do not alter his power levels or abilities, and are almost all aesthetic. The obvious exceptions are his tail and claws; the tail is strong and muscular like the body of a snake and the claws are sharp and hard enough to even leave marks in steel. These changes are less “appearance modification” and more the Hollow partially tapping in to his true, bestial form. Additionally, his fluid appearance is in polar opposition to Ichigo, who desires to keep himself looking exactly the same for some semblance of stability.
Now, on to his other abilities:
Soul Chain: As previously stated, Ichigo and Shiro are bound by a spiritual chain. The chain is normally invisible and intangible, but can be brought into the realm of perception temporarily if they so choose. When visible, it is pitch black, like a shadow, with a red glowing aura. It leads from the hole in Shiro's chest to Ichigo's breastbone. It cannot be broken, and it can stretch for long distances. This chain is what allows the two to feel each other's pain (which is what initially kept Shiro from simply killing Ichigo) and thoughts. Over their time in Promenade, the boys have learned to use the chain to find each other, call for the other, and even communicate. Distance weakens the bond, and causes Shiro especially to become fatigued and less powerful. Their powers swing back and forth like a pendulum; Ichigo can pull on Shiro's power to summon his Hollow mask, which increases Ichigo's strength and speed while sapping some of Shiro's. Shiro can likewise draw on Ichigo's power, using it to unleash his full Hollow forms, which results in Ichigo becoming more unstable and violent.
Massive Spiritual Energy: Like his other, the Hollow is in possession of a massive amount of spirit energy, which he uses in several different ways. First of all, he can force his power out in a way, producing a phenomenon known as "reiatsu" or "spiritual pressure". This pressure can be used to intimidate opponents or even blow them away. His spiritual energy can be turned into a sword, a white version of Ichigo's Zangetsu. Unlike Zangetsu, the Hollow's sword does not possess a soul of its own and is just a physical manifestation of his own power. He can also shoot his energy as a blast using the Hollow technique called "Cero". A Hollow's Cero is one of his most powerful weapons and consists of a pure, dense blast of spiritual energy that makes a
whining noise as it forms. The Hollow's Cero is a bright, nuclear red in color. Like Ichigo, can also fire his energy in the form of crescent-shaped arcs of energy, known as Getsuga Tenshou. He can enter a stronger mode known as "Bankai", which increases his speed, strength and changes the shape of his sword and the look of his clothing. Because of his Hollow nature, he can also heal his wounds thanks to a technique called "Instant Regeneration", to an extent. Shallow wounds, burns and such will heal almost instantaneously while broken limbs and the like will heal much more slowly, though still faster than a human. He cannot regenerate limbs. In his shikai (base form), his Getsuga Tenshous are black energy with a red halo. In Bankai, the energy is white with a red halo.
Sonído: Also known as "Echo Step", this ability allows Shiro to move very quickly, seemingly teleporting short distances with a unique
staticky sound. Similar to a Soul Reaper's Shunpo (Flash Steps). The range of Sonído is limited, but its speed is not. Shiro can move so fast and use individual Echo Steps so quickly that he can leave afterimages to confuse his opponents. The afterimage ability works best in Bankai.
Full Hollow Form: Shiro's full Hollow form is most similar to a lizard or a dragon. His form changes depending on his level of "release". His more sealed for, "Shikai", seen
here is smaller than his "Bankai" form, seen
here. In these forms, he fits his role as the "Id" much better; he acts almost completely on instinct, especially in the fully released Bankai form. He can barely speak and instead communicates with roars, growls, purrs and other such noises. His roars are loud and eerie; they sound like the violent roar of a beast mixed with the scream of a person in severe pain. His skin looks smooth all over, but as a matter of fact has three different textures; his ventral side is smooth unscaled hide and his dorsal side is made of pointed denticles not unlike those of a shark. Between the two kinds of scales are round, smooth scales similar to those of a snake or skink. When rubbed the "right way" all of the flesh feels almost the same; the difference only becomes apparent when he is rubbed the "wrong way" on his back, which will result in the petter's hand being covered in scratches. The six spikes on his back are made of special cartilage and can be folded and moved to express emotion. The edges are razor-sharp. The mask is fully innervated, with a blood and reishi supply of its own, and if it is removed, Shiro will experience great pain and revert to his normal, humanoid form. In his full Hollow form, his regeneration skills are much better and faster, and he is capable of regrowing limbs (though HOW many times he can do this is limited).
"Vasto Lorde" Form: The
strongest form of all. This form can only be obtained when Ichigo and the Hollow work together in perfect tandem, which is to say, it will probably never happen. This form has almost limitless power and is considered to be highly dangerous and destructive. Of course, this form will never be activated in game without explicit moderator permission and planning.
Weaknesses: Shiro is a massive powerhouse, but is not without his downfalls. He is cocky and confident, and this often leads to him underestimating opponents. His fighting style is highly offensive, with very little defense, leaving him open for attacks. Magic has a stronger effect on him than normal, seeing as he's not used to it. He has a tendency to use up his energy very quickly. If he is distant from Ichigo, his energy reserves are even lower. Thanks to the newfound respect he has for Ichigo, he's also limited by what his other will allow him to do.
