I think it's just the type of place that you live. Here in Central Florida, people love Obama and can't wait to see what he is going to do. No one here talks about the color of someone's skin or the religion of someone. And if they do, it's never to the extent that I/we had to experience growing up in that particular area. I remember growing up that anyone who wasn't WASP was talked about and doubted. It's sad that we still live in a society where people think of a person's intelligence and capability based solely upon the color of their skin because - honestly - I really think that that is what it has come up to.
