Skins, Viv's new piece, and how Jules kept me up all night (but not in the gay way)
God. I'm so old. I drank three coffees yesterday was so jazzed up I couldn't get to sleep until three o'clock this morning. Also, Jules was distracting me with hilarious tales about the land of accouting. I am curled catching up with some fic (mostly youtoxic's, who wrote a Mini/Tony fic I've been dying to read for a while) but I obvs had to post about the massive wtf which was Jb's interview.

I don't know what to think really. I think Emily's expression mirrors my own (except she is hotter, obvs). On one hand, I won't miss his scripts. AT ALL.

I only genuinely adore Sid and Rich's. Tony's episode was interesting, had some blistering one liners but din;t quite coalescence into a whole for me. Grace's was ok. ALL his gen 2 eps were dire, with "Cook" and "Effy" battling it out for worst episode ever (at this moment in time, Cook is winning). JB has great comic timing but his dramatic episodes can fall apart horrendously
yet...
he's the face of Skins. He came up with the whole show, he came up with the kind of contet and tone which I love. I love most of the characters and he was integral in creating them all. He gave us emotionally charged, incestuous sibling relationships! I'm certain there are so many things behind the scenes that JB contributes to. It's going to be strange if this is true and season six will be JB/BE less. Now that Jack Thorne has gone that means the fab three who created the show has left. I don;t know what that means for the show in the future
(I'd love for Jack Thorne to have one last hurrah with the show, but that's probs not gonna happen, and sue me, I'll ALWAYS resent JB a little for what he did to gen 2. Always).
I wonder why he's leaving now?

AE: What was your favorite episode of this series?
JB: Six, I think. Alo.
Once again, what JB loves I dislike. I love the character but the episode was a let down. JB is on record saying his favorite season four ep was "Freddie" and his favorite season three ep is "Cook" which...well, that says it all really.
JB Mini? I think she's confused. Liv called it a "girl crush" and maybe that's all it is. Or maybe it's something more. Mini doesn't know. It's something we'll be exploring in the next series. We've only just started with these girls.
I want Mini to stay away from Franky because while girlfriend is a bully she's still better than Franky. I am excited they're going to explore Mini's sexuality. I totes get repressed homo from her. Someone should write a threesome fic with her, Noami and Emily. It won't be me because writing one threesome fic is about as perverted as I go, thanks very much.
AE: Mini doesn’t seem scared of her feelings for Franky, which is kind of shocking.
JB: If you read the novel - which is great by the way, and I'm not just saying that because my little sister wrote it - you get some juicy stuff about Mini along those lines.
AE: Cool! I can’t wait to read it. I'm not asking you to label any of your characters, but is it fair to say that Liv and Franky and Mini are all three pretty sexually fluid?
Sorry JB, apparently this novel is only marginally better than the last one. And what, Heather Hogan? Liv is sexually fluid?! I get the all cock, all the time vibe from her. I think the only initated the threesome to salvage her relationship with Poor Man's Effy. Note to Heather, not everyone is sexually fluid, kthhx.
AE: Tony’s second series episode is better than Black Swan!
Stop it, Heather, seriously. Although I do give JB credit for gently distantly himself from Heather Hogan's fawning.
So, yeah, JB is leaving. I don't know how to feel. Is this the begining of the end of Skins? Who knows. But at least no one will get struck by lighting! But yeah, if I were Mini, I'd keep a look out for stalkers, though.

HOLY FUCK, I'm reading eskimo jo's newest. So far, sorry babes, I prefer it to distintergration. I actually like how Michelle and Naomi work in this story. Like, a lot. Litmus test is coming up though. Emily has barely been in the story, and I'm waiting for a train to hit her or something. If this happens, Viv, in my next a piano will fall on Michelle's head. Just kidding, I wouldn't do that, I'd just marry her off to Thomas instead.
