“Arthur can’t identify with the Virgin Mary,” leers Eames. “Considering he’s not a virgin anymore.”
“And how can you identify with Joseph?” Arthur snipes. “You’re not at all an upright citizen. I think you would identify better with the mule.”
“That you’re meant to be riding?” Eames suggests.
There’s a pause.
“Guys,” Cobb says tiredly. “My children are going to be present, okay.”
“I’ll never live down the embarrassment,” Arthur mutters, tugging at his calico hem. “Phillipa will disown me. James will disown me. No-one respectable will ever sleep with me again.”
“I’ll always sleep with you, darling,” says Eames.
“Respectable, Eames, weren’t you listening,” says Arthur, but all Eames does is grin at him.
Oh my goodness, that passage is made of WIN. I couldn't stop giggling. :DDD
And the art is fantastic. I love Arthur's shoes. :)
