High Quality Scan Tutorial
Put what you want into your scanner.
Open Adobe Photoshop (I use version 7. I'm not sure if this works with other versions.)
Go to File>>Import and find your scanner.
In the scan window, choose custom settings and click on "Adjust the quality of the scanned picture"
Set the settings exactley as I have (Resolution (DPI): 300)
Click "OK" on the Advanced Properties window then "Scan" on the Scan window.
It may take a while to scan (usually 45 seconds to 1 minute for me) depending on your computer, but the results are significant.
TIP: A regular sized magazine page usually scans to somewhere around 2500 x 3000 . I always resize to somewhere around 1000 x 1500.
