I can only think of one thing I want for Christmas/Holiday Wishes.
That is to be chosen for Extreme Makeover Home Edition to choose my family for a makeover so we can get repairs made to our home, and make it handicapped accessible for me. This would allow me to be a real part of my family again and get out of my hospital bed where I spend everyday. To be able to cook for my family, to be able to sew again so I can work on my project to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, have a first floor bedroom so I could sleep with my hubby again in the same bed, and have a first floor bath with shower for some privacy. Since the internet is a global community we're trying to get as many countries and states to sign the petition to Bring the Bus here to makeover our home.
All I would like is to have as many people sign as possible. The highest signed petition has been 50,000 and we would love to top that amount of course, to get the attention of the show. I'd love to see the internet and Live Journal, and other online communities make a huge mark on the world by showing just how generous people can be and this Holiday Wish of mine doesn't cost anyone anything. You don't even have to use your real name.
So if you would sign my petition and pass along the link on your journal that would be the best gift I could receive!
My daughter has made buttons on the petition page that you can add to your journal or web site.
I will be filling some holiday wishes myself this year, as I did last year to pay it forward!
