I just love Eliot/Parker friendship stories, especially involving H/C. It makes me feel warm inside. I know it's just a story, but reading about two people being there for each other like this kind of feels like I can participate in that feeling. If that makes sense...
The protagonists were so in character that I could see them doing the things in the story in front of my inner eye.

Yes! I completely agree, h/c Parker/Eliot stories are such a treat. And in many ways, I read for the same reason you do. It's such a hard process to actually pin down why I like/dislike certain dynamics.

You should write one! There is never enough stories in the world when one of the team needs rescuing. It's one of my all-time favorite tropes.

Awww, this was so sweet. I love that Eliot just got fed up and went and got her. I was cheering for him. I love that he was determined to help her get over her fear. And bonus points for Sophie going in after Parker in the vent. Loved it!
