Unfortunately for Integra, the firing range was not empty that early in the morning. Yohji Kudoh was there, already standing at a stall, handgun held out and aimed at a target. He hadn't been able to sleep the night before and he had to work early, so he might as well get some practice in while he could. Dark circles ringed his eyes at the lack of sleep. Seemed to be getting more common now. Probably just a reaction to the disappearances and rumours flying around. They'd all been pulling overtime recently.

He caught sight of the door opening from the corner of his eye and flicked on the safety on his gun. He turned, pushing down the earmuffs and taking a good luck at the person who had entered. He smiled slightly when he recognised her, offering a respectful bow, suddenly well aware that he wasn't exactly in uniform, but in his mission outfit. "Morning, Colonel Hellsing." At least as a Turk he didn't have to do the full saluting thing.

Integra was relived to recognise the person at the shooting range. They'd met a few times, and more importantly they were on good terms. She nodded in response to the greeting, and offered a weary smile. "Morning, Kudoh."

He looked a little worse for the wear, and she couldn't blame him.

Integra moved into the station beside him and began taking her gun apart. She'd been meaning to check it out the night before, but now was as good a time as any. Her movements were fluid, obviously well-practiced, and for the time being the weariness was long gone from her posture.

Yohji nodded in reply and then turned back to his station. He peered at the target and then reeled it back in. Hmmm, decent enough, he supposed, but not as good as he'd have liked it. Damn sleep loss. He sighed and pulled the target down, screwing it up and throwing it into the bin before replacing it with another paper target.

The comfortable silence continued for a few more minutes as Integra cleaned her gun and Yohji changed the cartriage on his own. He raised it, peering along the line of it for a moment before setting it down carefully.

He turned to the Colonel again, leaning back against the partition. It was early, even for SOLDIER. It was unusual for any of them to get up earlier than was necessary unless they really needed the practice or had insomnia. He wagered that Integra didn't fall into the first category. "Not often we see someone of your stature here on the public range," he began conversationally.

Integra began locking the pieces back together. She could do this blindfolded, and she knew it for a fact, so when she spoke to Yohji she turned to him directly, eyes as cool and sharp as ever. She raised an eyebrow at the comment. "Should I take it that my company is unwelcome?"

After so many years in soldier, she'd learned not to take comments like that for granted. Kudoh didn't seem like a bad sort, so there was no hint of a threat in her voice. Not that Integra needed to threaten. Her reputation preceded her for better or worse.
