Well, Laguna couldn't say that he didn't try this time. He really did try to find his partner before going out on his own again, but he wasn't there when Laguna checked around and well, he was hungry and his investigation on what SOLDIER actually made sausages out of was thwarted when he got into an argument with the chef about it ( Read more... )

Xigbar was bored, to say the least, since he had spent most of the time simply playing around with various chemicals in his lab. Even geniuses had to take a break.

So that was why he was simply wandering around, getting some air into his lungs. That was when he spotted Laguna. Another person to pester!

He casually walked over to the man, hearing him mutter something, and a grin spread on his face.

"Havin' some trouble?"

As luck would have it, some passerby seemed to have sensed his distress and come for his aid! ... Sort of. Laguna didn't really like the grin that this passerby's face. It looked... what was the word he was looking for? Kind of like what a shark looked like when it saw a struggling swimmer caught in a riptide. Or how a chocobo looked when it's eyes spied an unguarded wheat bag in the corner. Or how a life insurance salesman looked when he found the perfect sap who was actually willing to not only listen to his pitch, but considers buying ( ... )
