Dinner hadn't take long to prepare. Kenshin liked to fancy that he'd gotten to be a decent cook over the years he'd spent traveling and fending for himself. From the looks of things, Colonel Hellsing didn't do much cooking herself.

After an achy start to the morning and long, strenuous stretching to get his body back to normal mobility, Cloud was grateful for the breakfast alarm. He stepped out of his room and into the stream of people heading for the mess hall.

Things on the islands were going slow. Very slow.
