What Do You Have To Say? - Photography: The Best Advicehollow_voiceAugust 29 2007, 15:45:14 UTC
What's the best advice you've given or gotten for taking good photos?
Having a hand-held video light with a diffusing gel over it is great for taking flash photos in a dim or dark room with moving subjects (for example: a party or reception). Hold the light up at an angle off-center to the camera's and use the flash of the camera to create a second angle. It will require two people for best results, but this will give you a two-point lighting system that will allow you to get rid of most shadow (all shadow except that on the walls behind - for that you would need a third light facing the wall behind your subject, though this is often too time consuming to set up). Thanks for listening!
