Name: What shall we call you?
Age: If you'd rather not post this here, just PM a mod.
Journal: You don't need to have one, but if you do, let us know!
Contact: an email address or IM contact (AIM, preferably,) a way we can get in touch with you

1. Character's Name: What should we call them?
2. Fandom: Where are they from? Please specify which version (movie, comic, TV series etc) where appropriate.
3. Time Frame: At what point in their canon are you playing them?
4. Age: How old are they? If it's never specified, take your best fanon guess.

5. Background: Tell us about the character’s world and their life so far! You don’t need to give us every minute plot-point, but treat us like we’re canon-blind. Please indicate fanon in blue.
What we’re looking for in this section:
∝ A very brief explanation of the canon premise.
∝ An outline of any setting details we’ll need to know about in order to understand your character’s history, abilities, personality, and why they are the way they are.
∝ A brief history of the character and the role they play in the plot. Include any events that had a major influence on their personality.
∝ You can include wiki links if you like, but they’ll be treated as supplementary only.

6. Personality: Introduce the character to us! What are they like and why are they like that?
What we’re looking for in this section:
∝ What the character is like mentally and emotionally, on average. e.g. Happy, sad, insecure, friendly, ornery, angry, distant etc.
∝ The kinds of things that make them otherwise feel good (happy, content, secure etc) and bad (afraid, angry, nervous etc)
∝ Some mental and emotional strengths and flaws.
∝ Whether or not they have a particular moral code
∝ Some examples from canon
∝ Internal consistency: Is the personality section you’ve just written consistent with their behaviour throughout their background/history and their attitude in the samples? If not, tell us why.
∝ You can include wiki links if you like.

7. Previous Game Developments: You only need to answer this section if you would like to carry over development or CR from a previous game.
What we’re looking for in this section:
∝ A link to the game
∝ A link to your character’s community tag (if community based) or journal and log tag (if journal based)
∝ A brief history of your character’s time in the game.
∝ Any major relationships they developed, especially cross-canon ones
∝ Any major events that effected your character. e.g. plot events that they took part in, or curse events where something significantly life-altering resulted from the curse. Include links.

8. Appearance: You only need to answer this section if your character is non-human, is effected by the game’s sizing restrictions, has more than one form (i.e. shapeshifters) or has changed significantly due to previous game development. Otherwise, you can just link to a picture.

9. Abilities: Does your character have a particular skill, talent or supernatural power? Let us know about it!
What we’re looking for in this section:
∝ A summary of their canon mundane abilities. e.g. tightrope-walking, fencing etc.
∝ A summary of their unaltered canon supernatural traits. This includes passive things like immortality or endurance as well as active things like spells or telepathy.
∝ An indication that you’ve read the rules and FAQ and know how they’ll affect these abilities
∝ Some examples for how these limitations will actually appear and affect characters when they use their abilities in-game.

10. Languages: Tell us what language they speak and write.

11. Items: What was your character carrying on them at the point you're introducing them into the Keep?

12. Weapons: Now, what weapons were they carrying?
What we’re looking for in this section:
∝ A list of weaponry that the character is carrying on them
∝ An indication of how each of these weapons will be limited in accordance with the rules.

13. Writing sample - Third Person: This can be any situation, but must be at least 300 words and in the third person.
What we’re looking for in this section:
∝ Good spelling and grammar. Proof read! This goes for your whole application, but this section most especially
∝ Decent writing standard. Avoid purple prose and thesaurus-syndrome.
∝ Accurate canon representation.

14. Writing Sample - First Person: Please give us either a first person journal sample or a first person prose sample, in character. You should write at least ten sentences, not including [action or description], should you choose a journal sample.
What we’re looking for in this section:
∝ Accurate canon representation.

15. Tattoo: Where is their Keep tattoo?

16. Room Preference: Would you like them near a particular character or in a specific room? Nominate here. We'll do our best to fill the request.
