I am pleased to say that I did not give Americans, much less Virginians, enough credit...

Back at the start of this thing, when Obama announced that he was running for president, I thought he seemed like a great guy but I didn't think that Ah-MER-icans could get passed his foreign sounding name.

I am SO pleased to say that I was wrong. =D

I took the exact same view early on. I thought there is no way I will ever see a black man elected president in my life time. I was so sure in fact that I bet a friend $20 that McCain would win. I'm quite pleased that I have to pay up now. (I did not vote for McCain)
