Michi's mental state isn't much better. He had the powers of God plus the powers of Bel to deal with for around three hundred years. And as you said, humans aren't meant to become demons - or gods. Not without the structure of their souls being altered, at least - blessed (or cursed, depending, I suppose) into a more divine or demonic form by a more powerful being.
But there wasn't any such change for Michi. Adding the stress of that on a human soul, plus having gone through ten years of bloody war before taking down God, plus all the stress of the Lockdown, plus having killed Naoya (and he's still not sure if it was on accident or somehow subconsciously on purpose even after three centuries), plus having to deal with the politics of heaven and the demon world, plus the fact that everyone he ever knew or loved is now dead...
And that's not even getting into the whole thing with what humankind is doing and watching another War of Bel break out and ( ... )

There's also the matter of something trying to push him to eliminate humans for being... stupid, basically. No, Michi, you may not pull a Nyx. :|
