Now that I've got the photos from my boyfriend's camera onto my computer, I can finally begin the
100 Things challenge, as promised, with the Knitted Kitty.
To give a bit of background, my sister used to have two cats Lola and Jessie (and a fish called Trojan, which got eaten by them long ago).
But what you can't tell from the picture, is that Lola and Jessie didn't get on, and it was decided that to make Jessie happier, she should be rehomed. She now lives with one of my sister's friends, and I decided my sister deserved a replacement. A knitted replacement that could get on with everyone.
I got searching for a pattern, and found the perfect one
here. As you can see, that cat doesn't have a face, and I wanted my Knitted Kitty to look happy, so I added a face onto my version. This was the hardest part as I struggled to get it symmetrical, but I'm still glad I did it. Here she is from a couple of different angles, showing off her stunted legs and wobbly face, and with me (looking a bit evil/tired), before I sent her off to her new home in London:
In none-100-things news, I've just been told Harry Potter's broom has arrived at work. And next weekend one of the meeting rooms has been hired out by 'Harry Potter and Hagrid'. I'm so glad I get to see the opening of this exhibition before I leave! There's a Warhol exhibition opening tonight as well, which normally I would go to, but the weather is really putting me off. I kind of just want to go home, wrap up warm and dry, and teach myself to crochet...
