I'd tell him I'd still miss him somehow, but I think the point is very much moot.
We're not the same people now.
I doubt we were the same people then.
I can only try and resist not to slap some sense into him.
The way I see it, the one he's pining for...this is not how it should be.

He'll never understand, likely he's purposely trying not to.

I'm giving up, building those walls.
