I'm glad you're enjoying your new book hun. I bought "The Historian" last year and I still haven't read it. LOL. I'm so behind. I'm currently finishing up my Anita Blake series. It's really vampire fluff. Nothing like Anne Rice. It's also erotica. Not usually my cup of tea but someone turned me onto the stuff. Very easy reading and not at all enlightening. Nothing of "The Historian" caliber. So I wouldn't know what to recommend :( But I hope you enjoy your book. Yay for summer reading. I know what you mean about finding a good book and unable to put it down. Yup, I get like that too :)

does anita blake have anything new out? how's her most recent? i own the first 6 or so and have read most of them, both in the merry gentry series and the anita blake. so, any good vampire fluff recommendations? sometimes a girl needs not to use her brain and to just read for pure entertainment value :)

Exactly! I'm still reading her other books. I'm on Book 11. So not up to her most recent. Though I want to be. I'm making my brain all mushy and mellow before I inject it with hardcore pain. Hehe

That is on my list to read...i too have trouble finding time for pleasure reading...my last reading was a 400 page EPA guidance manual for the reclamation of brownfield sites, that was waaaay fun! I hate work.

My brother read the Historian and loved it. It is on my list. vacation is next week so maybe then...

Please let me know what you think of it!!

I liked the first few hundred pages and then it got incredibly repetitive. Took me a while to read it completely, I put it aside for 6+ months at one point.
