Something on my computer is knocking...you know like 3 quick knocks..what the hell is it? I have on my toolbar, my little speaker thingie, my keyboard icon, my screensaver display, msn, norton, icq, weatherbug, and aim ( Read more... )

Sounds like an ICQ sound to me.

But instead of running ICQ, MSN and AIM you should just run Trillian. It incorporates all of those into one program, as well as Yahoo Messenger and ICQ (which I never use). http://www.trillian.cc

Very nice program.

Weatherbug tends to make wierd chirping noises too...

ICQ used to know when someone would send a message.
It was the default noise before I changed all mine.

I celebrated at 4:20 and just got done celebrating it for my second time zone.
Being from California I must observe both time zones.....

Yah...I had a pretty good night! Glad you're still able to find some greenage...theres a major dry spell going on in alot of places. :/
I haven't really gotten to know the whole ICQ thing, but I installed trillian last night, and after I get to know how to use that, I'm going to hunt down the knocking and shoot it..lol

Yeah, so I was really f*ck*d up last night when I posted that comment. The knocking is definately the hello message for ICQ and I think Trillian uses it too. If you shut off your notifications you won't hear it anymore....or you can go in and customize your notification sounds and change it to something less annoying. I remember back when I first got on ICQ it drove me freakin nuts! until I figured out how to change it. Now my notification toggles between the "pulp Fiction" strum and "Marvin the Martian". I have tons of wav files if you need to pull something cool to swap out the stupid knocking. Just let me know.
