In childhood, when things were going badly, did you ever sort of take yourself out of the present situation and dream about something that would make you feel better? I'm sure everyone did that. I did that a lot. A whole lot ( Read more... )

There is something so special about posts where someone is willing to open up about the bad side of life--especially as a Christian. More than anything I admire that you're willing to admit that sometimes life sucks, even when you know God is still in charge.

It boggles the mind that so many bad things can happen to a person, so it is almost incomprehensible that they would happen to someone who is so good. I dunno, I just don't think of it as a coincidence that you two are the ones who stood up for what was right in what is probably one of the most difficult situations a person could have to face, and rather than being rewarded for it, you were persecuted. It's one of those things that says, "This was the right choice because even though I feel horrible as a result, I feel at peace."

I love blogs that talk about husband love, though. Isn't it great to be married to someone who really is exactly what you need? You two are adorable. Muhlenberg County people--you're good sauce.

Nothing is more true than your quote above, "This was the right choice because even though I feel horrible as a result, I feel at peace." I felt like I was starving for peace in my life. I have it now more than ever, regardless of any other events that come up. God is definitely so, so good!

I rarely ever feel like a good person. I feel like I am constantly doing or saying something so wrong that I should be slapped on the hand a few hundred times. But I really appreciate you saying that. I'm just trying to remember when I mess up to try and fix it if possible.

I love blogs that talk about husband love, too. I always read yours and then go tell Joey about them. It really is great to be married to exactly the right person for you. It's the best balance I've ever had in my life.
