In the new opening credits Alex says, "frankly your guess is as good as mine," so as far as I'm concerned, it's a blessing for more thhhheeeeories! (Tho I still maintain that the new VO is missing a beat somewhere in the middle. It just sounds like an incomplete sentence!)

I'm really glad I have people on my flist to write out fascinating theories like this. I think otherwise I would simply watch A2A with my mouth hanging open going, "Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh? Pretty?"

LOL. SO TRUE.

And I think there will always be at least a bit of something no one saw coming. MG+AP ARE JUST AWESOME LIKE THAT

I HOPE SO! I don't want it to be something they pulled out of their ass in the last moment and didn't make sure it matched everything they did before perfectly! (They basically said some stuff still won't make sense tho. :/)

"Preeeeety!" Is always the first thing that comes to my mind as well. Don't worry. ;)

I still can't shake the feeling that the show will wrap up with something no one saw coming
Blah, me too tho. The thing that worried me most is that one of the execs (I forget which one) gave that interview that said they changed the Gene story when they got a new cooler idea at the beginning of the writing process for Series 3. So that kind of shake up worries the hell out of me because it's not an organic change.

OH. SHIT.

I just.

Your theories continually blow my brain up with their awesome. Also, yes, the parallels between Dotty and Molly were just waaay too strong to be even remotely coincidental. Also Alex was basically like *SYMPATHY GLANCE OF EMOTION* at the parents throughout the ep.

My god, so much awesome in this ep.

Hee! Theorizing about this show is half the fun I think. But in the end it's a team effort. ;)

RIGHT?! It was a cool idea to not even have Molly in it at all. The fact that Alex was reacting to Dotty was just perfect! Showing not telling ftw!

Looking back at the caps you took of the ghost and Gene to compare, something I noticed is that the ghost has a much older style of clothing than modern Gene- waistcoat, pocketwatch. Perhaps if it is some sort of purgatory, he's some Victorian suicide that now gets to play Hades or something.

Whenever I get around to getting to NYC, I think you and ohvienna and I should totally hang out and watch A2A and have brilliant discussions. Just saying.

Yeah if there was a wider cap of even young Martin Summers you'd see the difference in PC uniform. I think Victorian might be a bit too old for that style (here's a pic of a PC from Victorian times tho in Whales). Actually from further investigation it doesn't seem to be a pocket watch at all. Look at this image of cops from 2004. They have the same exact chain! It's part of a dress uniform. The ghost seems to be wearing an overcoat on top of his regular uniform which gives the appearance of it being a pocket watch.

Lol can I ask where this whole Hades discussion comes from? I've heard many people refer to him as Hades but there's no evidence whatsoever that the show is going the Greek mythology route. I do think it's a Christian type of purgatory as opposed to an underworld.

UM YES! Ask prettyquotable how mean our A2A parties are. When she visited us we had red wine with steak and chip pizza ( ... )

wee Gene has the same pout DUDE I KNOW. i was going to drop that in a surprising manner, but you got there first. ahahaha rube. i miss that show a bunch. i don't know about the bible references indicating an overarching mythology? maybe, but it's never really be mentioned before now. though jim did focus on it (omg jim.) need more sample to corroborate! two weeks!

Hee! Wee Gene's pout is the equivalent to wee Summers' large nose in terms of casting. :)

I can't remember there being any specific references in Series 2, but Series 1 had a few. In 1x02 Alex quotes Book of Luke to Gene. And in 1x03 the case deals with that girl who was in the church choir. They went to the church and there was more bible quotes from Matthew I think. So it's been present throughout in these tiny manners. Just the fact that Jim was "brought up" in it seems intriguing to me.

I KNOW! TWO WEEKS IS SO UNFAIR!!!
