LOL! My guess is that it's funky architecture of the actual set. They were just like, "Here, Anna, take your Big Damn Gun and stand over there. That looks white enough to be some sort of anonymous Olympic background. Now smile!" Pretty sure that Massive Dynamic doesn't have that space between the wall and floor. Nina wouldn't approve of the breeze on her ankles. ;)

Man I love your new recappy format! Keep it going. Cap and Quote and Word of the ep is all brilliantly fun. And also just because talking about Fringe is never not fun. Check it: Fringe, Fringe Fringe Fringey Fringey Fringe Fringe Fringe---I could go all day.
YAYS!!!!!! *happy dance* And let's say together: FRIGNE FRINGE FRINGEY FRINGEY FRINGE FRINGE FRINNNNNNGE!!!!!!!111111111111

I'm hoping that our Olivia will fluctuate between her memories and Altlivia's as well. Or that she may even be semi-faking it?I have heard the faking theory and I'd be all over it if it wasn't so weirdly placed. Like why would she be starting it the car with Henry? Seems like an odd place to start. Anna gave an interview recently where she said that it was Olivia surrendering into her mother's arms because it was easier (I think that's what she said, I know she brought up Olivia "smelling" her mother and it having a strong effect on poor Olivia) so I'm betting the memories took for reals. But only for a little bit! It's like the writers said, they have to ( ... )

I luff Anna Torv. That's right, LUFF! WITH TWO EFFS!!!
Can I get this on a t-shirt to wear in Van?

That cap will ever get old. Ever. Cause holy shit that gun is ridiculously huge to be waving one handed and grinning except it's Anna and she makes it look legit. ;) Keep up the Fringey Fun. More opportunities to play. :)

But these will be such SPOILAZ for you! D:

Lol can I come to that altverse too? I'm just about to hit the post-John Scott stride in my Fringe re-watch with the roomies. ;)

Glatterflug is a German airline that was in the Pilot and also in the one where Olivia flies to Germany to meet with David Robert Jones in the prison. In the alternate universe, however, Glatterflug advertises for this!

Fringe has eaten my brain. I actually have to go back and watch the first season, because I sort of fell into watching it last year in the midst of some crazy real life drama. I think I love it more than a sane person should. Especially since I'm hazy on the some of the details, like how they all ended up working together in the first place. You know, nothing major- just the basic premise of the whole thing. :P

This whole Altlivia/Olivia thing is very 2 Crichtons from Farscape, which is fine with me. That season was awesome and angstastic and made me bow down before Ben Browder in awe over how well he played two characters that were the same and yet so different. I'm hoping Fringe will do it as well if not better.

I need to get some Fringe icons.

Someone on my flist mentioned the significance of the color yellow in Mrs. Dunham's house; yellow being our Olive's favorite color pre-cortexiphan. So the fact that Altlivia helped her mother paint her house yellow because she thought it was more cheerful is hurtful in its awesome. And it's so understated within the show (they know their audience is smart enough to pick up on that) that I felt it worth repeating.

And in that episode with the bald kid she brought in m&m's but wouldn't eat the yellow ones because they remind her medicine, probably because after the Cortexiphan trials, yellow had a new (negative) emotion attached to it! I agree, I really love how the show writers don't baby the audience and like you said, trust that we're smart enough to pick up on these things!

So let's discuss the pen metaphor at the end with Peter and the government guy. My guess is that not everything needs fixing. What do you guys think?
OH MAN, I did not catch this at all until this moment. BUT I LOVE YOUR BRAIN. (AND THIS SHOW)

It's really amazing how yellow the pre-school was in Jacksonville, if you go back to watch it. Besides the obvious yellow brick road painting on the wall there was just so many toys and chairs and little things that were also yellow. Not to mention Olive's outfit. (There was an ep in S1 when Ella was choosing an outfit and a yellow top was one of her choices, which was a direct, unstated parallel to Olivia as a child. Poor bb!)

Srsly great stuff, this show!
