Fannishness in 2011!
In lieu of not having an end of year vidding meme (since I vidded a whopping ZERO TIMES this year) here's one that I can actually do. :)
Your main fandom of the year?
FRINGE and GAME OF THRONES!!! These two continue to be my main epic fannish obsessions so be prepared to see these words appear in this here meme quite a bit.
Your favorite film you watched this year?
Gonna have to go with Bridesmaids for favorite since that one's gonna go down in history as a timeless classic. :) Other faves are Midnight in Paris and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Your favorite book read this year?
I feel like I haven't read anything but the A Song of Ice and Fire books and I've basically been reading them since the show was on the air which means since April I guess?! AND I'M NOT EVEN DONE! I still have the last book to read!!! ALJfvsdjLFVljdhvf O_O
Your favorite tv show of the year?
Well I love Fringe so I'll just pocket that thought and talk about the new shows I've enjoyed in 2011: Game of Thrones, Homeland and American Horror Story. Two out of the three are legit srs bsns television perfection and the third is an incredibly surprising edition to AWESOME GOOD TIME TELLY THAT EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH!
Oh and Downton Abbey was a big discovery this year since we mainlined the entire first series in a day when everyone in New York City was hiding from a hurricane.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
I haven't really had time to play in it since I don't want to be spoiled for the books but I really can't wait to swim around in the Game of Thrones fandom! The world is so huge and rich and I'm practically salivating to be a part of it!
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Sigh. As usual Doctor Who takes the cake because at this point it honestly feels like Moffat has a personal vendetta against me or something. But the other insanely failtastic thing was the second half of Downton Abbey S2! Julian Fellows really needed someone to stop him because wowwww did that show take a turn. 0_o (Thankfully the Christmas Special was quite good that I'm very hopeful for S3.)
Your fiction boyfriend of the year?
LINCOLN LEEEEEEEEE! ♥♥♥
Your fiction girlfriend of the year?
As always, mah girl Olivia Dunham in EVERY universe. But especially when there's double my pleasure, double my fun. ;)
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Welp, I breathed the same air as Anna Torv. SO THAT HAPPENED! I was extremely lucky to see her in the flesh and stare at her legs TWICE THIS YEAR!!!!! slkbgksbg;skBF
In terms of telly I was very srs bsns excited for a lot of fun moments in my programs this year, but only one moment that made me SQUEE FLAIL LIKE THE GIANT GIRL I AM!
Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
