I knooooooow! And traces? TRACES?! Those were for realz! He is a tough manly man and those TEARS were FOR REALZ!

And then he was all mopey and sad and the SCENE IN ELIZABETH'S OFFICE! Can someone please write the AU fic where he wanders around and ends up in her bedroom, because this is where he gravitates when he's sad and mopey and needs her to cling to and he's there and realizes she's not coming back and UGHASDAKJHFINCOHEREND *cries*

(I'm a sad sad sad sucker for angst. I swear, Bambi is to blame. All those times I was read Bambi and there was so much angst and I was preconditioned to crave the angst. I BLAME BAMBI!)

(And maybe just a little the whisky. Bambi and the bloody whisky.)

Aw, you're very welcome. :) I liked Elizabeth before, but I fell in love with her in S3. So this is quite the difficult transition. If Carter was to come to Atlantis I'd be fine with it. But I wish it wasn't at the expense of Elizabeth. :/

Best review I've read on LJ. Period.

... I agree 100000%! And omg, I've lost count of how many times I've watched that Sheppard scene! Probably one of the most powerful scenes in SGA history!

But hey, 'Lifeline' isn't the end yet (dunno how unspoiled you are, so I'll shut up now!)

And yes, there might be tears! =(

Wow! Thanks. :) Good to know my bitterness expressed itself well.

YES! Yesyesyesyesyes!!!!!!!!! And "Lifeline" was just spectacular. *cries*

I do know that she's in 4 eps this season, but from Torri's Gateworld interview, she says she's "technically in four, but really in two." So I take it to mean these first two eps of the season as her real eps and then the others will be flashbacks of some sort. :/

You're very welcome! Well, sometimes during bitterness is when our finest work comes out! =P

I just finished watching Lifeline! OMG! There's this heavy weight on my chest that just won't go away... so freakin' angsty!!!
I'll post a few comments on my journal in a few minutes, in case you wanna read them.

Oh, so I'm not gonna spoil you! Great...
Well, I dunno! I think that the 2 are actually Lifeline and This Mortal Coil (with Adrift and Be All My Sins Remembered being the 'technical' ones), cuz she's listed as the main guest-star in TMC.

At least I hoping it'll be so... I have faith we'll still see her again! ^^

Thanks to this post I now can see a lot more depth in Stargate Atlantis than I ever have before. For the most part, I see it on a superficial, eye candy level. I've also never really been a huge fan of Weir - mostly because of her acting - but she's grown on me (after I saw this icon, actually). What I like about her is that she's one of the only characters to actively learn from her mistakes and I'll miss that.

I really liked the part about Elizabeth and John being the City. That's very true.

:)

Well first of all thanks. ;) But really I think there's quite a lot of folks out there who don't really see that hidden layer of depth. So I'm glad I could mention a few of the thematic elements and bring them to the forefront. I try to do the same with my SGA vids. ;)

That you began to look at her character differently after finding this icon is really admirable. And to be fair, that icon is a work of art. Especially after this last episode. I could seriously write an essay about the thematic relevance in the composition. It's gorgeous ( ... )
