How to Turn In Your Rough Draft
Rough drafts are due soon, you have until December 5th, 2012 to turn in your rough draft for Round 3 of the Holmes Big Bang challenge, which is a little over 2 weeks from now. First off, to answer some questions authors might have.
- We would love it if you could turn in a minimum word count of 10,000, but IF you are ABSOLUTELY sure you will have your fic finished and more than 15,000 words by January 20th then turn in the information we ask along with whatever you have. This is important because you have to be sure you will finish, all rough drafts will be going up to get claimed by an artist.
- No one but the mods will see what you turn in. Once claims are done we will make a post to the community with the Author/Artist match up and authors will be responsible to sending their story to them.
- You can turn in more than one fic for this challenge. We don't frown on this, its not a problem at all. If you are turning in more than one fic please send each in separately.
- The summaries are important! This is what potential artists will be reading to claim a story for art. So please take your time, proofread it, and make sure its something that you think reflects your fic well.
- If you aren’t sure that you can complete your story by the final due date but want to try you can join the Unofficial Track. What this means is your story will not be include in the claims post but if you manage to finish it by the final due date we will find an artist for you and you can post along with everyone else. To join that send in your draft according to the instructions bellow just with Unofficial in the subject line of the email.

Please keep the coding in your email, it makes it easier for us to just copy and paste this into the claiming post. The only things that will be taken out is the LJ username, percent complete, and current word count.
Then add your fic as an attachment, we would prefer it if you had it as an .doc but we can take .docx and .rtf
We will email you back confirming we have gotten the fic. This may not be immediate so please don't worry. If you have any questions at all or need any help leave a comment in this post. Finally, if you don't believe you will be able to complete this challenge please drop a comment at this post or email us to let us know so we can remove you from the spreadsheet (and stop bugging you with emails ;D)
