Meanwhile, back in their room...

[When John left the previous evening, he hadn't expected to be gone very long. But Irene's call for medical help had turned into something unexpected, but very welcome.

So it's not until the next morning that John finally makes his way back to room 4-13.]

((ooc: Back-dated to the morning of the 13th.))

No, I'd rather you stop listing adjectives and tell me what you're on about now.

... Are you upset because I didn't let you know I wasn't coming back when I said?

I'm not upset. [His attention returns to the pages of the book.] And will you please take a step or two away from my mattress?

No, I suppose I can't expect for you to be on time. Especially when you're too busy looking for a good shag.

[whoops did I say that outloud?]

[John drops the vegetables in the bin and walks back over to his own bed. Then he hears Sherlock's comment (as was no doubt intended).]

... I'm sorry I didn't check-in with you, but since we're both adults, I didn't think it was necessary.

And I wasn't looking for anything.

I'm sure you weren't. [He's still not looking at John, but his expression becomes a cross between facetious and sardonic.] But it was easily enough found, wasn't it?

[John's completely confused now. He honestly didn't think Sherlock would worry (or possibly even notice) when he didn't come back, and he's not even sure that's the problem here.]

If you have something you'd like to say, just go ahead and say it. Not that it's any of your business who I might've shagged, of course.
