Phew! Tedious but not too difficult to solve.

Not wanting to spend a whole weekend without access to my PC I phoned Harvey Norman from whom we purchased my Acer a couple of years ago.  There were very stern warnings about not letting anyone interfere with the body of the PC to preserve the warranty and I didn't necessarily want to trek all the way across to Porirua to get technical assistance

I'm going to buy one, anyone want to buy an $800 coffee machine? lol
Once I sell the coffee machine somehow,(My ebay account isn't a selling one) then I will buy one, hopefully pink.

Hope you manage to sell the coffee machine, then I'll be waiting to hear your experiences with the EeePC. All the reports I read indicate that it is better to go for the 900 version which has more facilities and a bigger screen than the 700 even though it does cost a bit more.
I'm not necessarily looking for pink - actually I think the white one looks pretty classy too.
