BT engineer arrived this morning. Found corroded wires outside. Fixed. No charge. But he was a good bloke, chatty, so I gave him £20 for a few pints. Though I've noticed it helps to have a 'Support Your Local Hells Angels Nomads' sticker across the inside of the front door ( Read more... )

Ugh sorry to hear that...BT keep trying to steal (via underhand calls to a number that is ex-dec, MOPS and also on their 'don't call' list!) my business from Be Internet...making out it's cheaper. Until I ask about bandwidth and suddenly this superfast cheaper deal isn't so cheap and comes with nasty strings attached. Even though they claim their service is better or equal to what I've got (as they read a bad script)

Last time like you I told them where to go and laughed at the person and put the phone down. Clueless.

Just not going to bother for the moment. Cancelled cable. I'll read a book and go to the internet cafe when I absolutely have to.

And just think you could be in the States where they've just made unlocking a phone technically illegal...:-/ They don't seem to understand regulation or mass fightback over these things over there...
