When I read your entry, I thought, omg, I've been calling her Ann-dree-uh all this time... It must be On-drey-uh, like André. Because, you know, Ann-dree-uh is the normal way and On-drey-uh the less common way (in my American mind, at least). I looked up a clip from the tv show to see, and I was hit by a wave of, "Wow, people are stupid!" because I have been saying it right, and it's just the ordinary way of pronouncing Andrea, like I thought. If you were the On-drey-uh version, I would totally understand people getting it wrong all the time, but seriously, I can't believe there are people out there who haven't heard it Ann-dree-uh! Guess there really are no names that everyone will always get right.

Maybe Jane or Joy. Nobody has messed up Ella yet!
I mostly get it like on-dray-uh, which I hate!!! Johnny's grandmother, who I see all the time and has known me now for 6 years, still pronounces my name this way. I just remember as a kid constantly telling people my name had the word and in it. AND! and ree uh. simple. but I'm sure I don't have to tell you how it feels to always have your name mangled!!!
