Having spent most of his years on the streets of Italy, picking fights with people (usually for no reason), he can easily tell that he's being followed. Now, not only is Dende obvious, but with his clumsiness, it's like he's advertising the fact that he sucks at being stealthy.
The teen stops, supposedly to dig in his pockets to find a smoke. Maybe it will give the kid time to get up, put himself together, and get the courage to actually approach him.
Maybe Dende would have given up and approached him if he had any idea just how obvious he's being. However Gokudera hasn't even glanced in his direction. So there's no possible way he could have noticed!
Not expecting Gokudera to stop so suddenly, and getting a bit frantic to make sure he doesn't lose him Dende accidentally runs out in the hall for a split second, only to run right back behind his corner when he spots Gokudera. Of course this wouldn't be complete without Dende's award winning clumsiness. He trips and lands flat on his face right when he's safely behind the wall.
With a sigh, he turns and heads in the direction Dende ran off to. He puts his hands in his pockets and sets a careless frown on his face. The teen stops by the hall, looking down at the fallen alien, and looming over him a bit ominously, smoke curling out of his nose before he reaches down and hauls the Namekian up by the back of his vest. "What the hell are you doing?"
Oh boy here it comes. Dende looks down guiltily, he was definitly in for a scolding this time. Gokudera seemed a bit too calm about all of this and it was kind of scary to be honest.
