○ Cloud Strife: After falling into her church (reminiscent of a certain Zack Fair), Aerith became quite interested in the blonde and quickly pegged him as her bodyguard. Throughout their time together, Aerith grew to like Cloud quite a bit; she saw something in him she could love, past the parts that were Zack-like and that were 100% Cloud original. She liked him for being bashful and sensitive at times, because even with the sometimes-bravado act, it was obvious he was always golden-hearted inside. Aerith easily counts Cloud as her most important person, and she would be willing to do anything for him.
○ Tifa Lockhart: Even if they're rivals for Cloud's affections, close quarters has a way of making the most opposite girls possible become friends. Aerith has never lied or tried to hide her feelings about Cloud from Tifa, and she assumes that her best friend has done the same. In the long road they have travelled, Tifa had acted as her confidante and companion, the girl she can empathize with and find company in. She is incredibly important to Aerith, and Aerith considers Tifa her best friend.
