straightedge should mean what it was originally intended to. so, if u wanna know what it's supposoed to mean, go listen to minor threat. ian mackaye came up with the term as a way to describe himself personally, not a millitant uniform for someone to put on. it's about personal choice and wanting to never "use a crutch" in life. it's been bastardized to mean a whole lot of shit since then, but that's what it is. just listen to minor threat. they kick ass, anyway
