16. [multi + stock] January update
Overdue January icon update coming your way! It wasn't the most productive month - not even close - because the stress from work kills my muse. I don't even know how, I ended up making a bunch of stock icons that aren't particularly good but whose pics I liked. I hadn't made stock icons in forever.

I liked the original a lot because of its grunginess and how it highlighted the explosion. My idea for the remake was to use different textures and make the coloring less natural. I'm not super convinced but I do like the concept.

The original was so elaborate (with a couple extra textures) that I wanted to tone that down a bit. My main thing with the cap is that it's perfect save for C.J.'s eyes. So changing the crop achieved that. It's also a tad more monochrome so that's also interesting. I liked the result.

Yet another one where I liked the original a lot and the cap is already a close-up. So again, I tried to get out from the obvious, more natural coloring. I recall it was a difficult cap but I kinda like how it turned out. A bit.

The lovely wunderkind_lucy and I settled on making icons from Narnia and Avengers: Endgame. We each chose a cap of each and made icons. (You can check the alts in the post above.) Isn't her second Lucy icon gorgeous? Top row are mine and the bottom row are hers :D
