Yesterday was too cruel--we did what we could. Curse days like those always do crowd the City General. It makes me more grateful we do have a Hospital and private clinics to attend when we are in need of treatment. Maybe I'm in a nostalgic mood lately, for two years have passed since my arrival in July, but these facilities are even newer than my ( Read more... )

I had a little trouble figuring out how to fill the order at first, but it worked out fine! So...dinner sounds good. Maybe sometime later this week?

Congratulations, Chrono! I'm so happy for your success! I will have reservations booked at Pandora's for all of you. Tomorrow? Or on Saturday?

Thank you, Lilith. I'm happy, too.

Ah...I think tomorrow might not work out too well for me. So how about Saturday?

I hadn't realized that, either. Strange to think what the City must have looked like, not too long ago. Though... come to think of it, there's always something new, isn't there? Even if it's just small businesses coming and going with their owners.

It reminds me of home, a little.

There is... We're always growing, bustling, renovating. For all its negative points, this City is almost energizing in its vigor and enthusiasm.

Your city was a blooming one?

Things are torn down, things are built. Civilization encroaches on the wilderness, buildings crumble when people turn their attention elsewhere. It's rare to find a place that hasn't changed, in Miami.

Miami. I heard it was a lovely location with a rich culture. I'm regretful I didn't have the chance to visit that place before the Armageddon.

It's the age, Aion. Nonetheless, those were good memories.

There's a certain plan to destroy your home city I had meant to ask you about.

A plan, huh. And?

I would like to know why would you want to destroy your home city. I know you have a problem with the "hive" mother, but everyone?

I can't imagine a city of this size with only private practices.

Surprising, isn't it? All those practices were born from charity and duty to the profession. The currency arrived with the Hospital and other facilities like the Court House and the Prison.

There was a time when this place didn't have a prison?

Or money. Everything was free. Without a prison, a court and need for employment, violence and crimes were more common.
