i find it hilarious that "bards and minstrels" is the second-most-used tag for books on amazon.com. and even funnier, the biggest subcategory within "bards and minstrels" is "magic carpet ride." WTF?
Amazon.com is one of the few things of our culture that survives into the distant future, and when people travel back in time to our time, they view the difference between 1207 and 2007 as humorously trivial (the same way we might view the difference between, say, 9000 BC and 8200 BC), but they remember that there were bards, minstrels, and magic carpets sometime around now, so that's what these far-future people look for.
