But at the same time, it cleared his head-he took that time to think things through about adult Richter-and he put together a roughly more organized and accurate version of TOS2's events because he isn't stupid. And had a moment of “Oh.” So he's still bitter that Martel was endangered in any way, but he's a lot less angry about it and less prone to lash out heedlessly at Richter in general. He's more neutral. It helps. :(

There's also the extra awkwardness around adult Richter because he, like Ratatosk, reminds Mithos very much of his former responsibilities and his total failure to uphold them. It's a very uncomfortable feeling to start realizing how much bad shit happened to the world because of the way he twisted things around and broke his promises and pacts way back when; it's nostalgic and sad and even if he would do it all again, the part of him that isn't crazy just wants to see it fixed, too ( ... )

I don't think Mithos' feelings toward Colette have changed very much! Artemis is just kind of ':J' about Rachel because she likes seeing a girl with spunk and it is always hilarious to see Apollo topped. Now let's get to the essays.

MITHOS ON LUKE

Mithos doesn't have a very high opinion of Luke, unfortunately. He didn't care that Luke had lost a foot (except where he did, will get to that in a bit); he was actually with the 'are you an idiot' crowd on that one, not because he thought it was possible to proceed without losing bodyparts, but because several other characters could have done it without life-threatening injury or pain. WHAT THE HELL, MAN. He sees Luke as childish and kind of dumb (. . . but wasn't paying attention to the real age his mana indicated, derp,) and...basically Luke's approach to Jesusing Mithos is like a What Not To Do primer ( ... )

...the interesting note is that hero!Mithos also picked up on this immediately and dealt with it exactly the same as regular Mithos! In some basic ways both incarnations of Mithos are pretty perceptive about things like that, and the long timelag between them didn't change that at all. Also hero!Mithos actually liked Emil a lot and wishes he could visit him again, because man, he was glad Ratatosk finally manifested some dere after 4000 years. They probably had the most awkwardly happy field trip of a day and Mithos did his best to be extra-kind to Emil, not only because he thinks Emil could use some encouragement but because he hoped it would reach Ratatosk through Emil and soften some of the pain ( ... )

MITHOS IS NEVER TRUSTING ANY OF THE AUDIE FOLK EVER! EXCEPT MAYBE THE LIONS :|!!!

On the other hand, Amaterasu might be Artemis's new favorite deity, oh man. GBB sort of addresses other cultures' gods--they mention Jesus, for example, and talk about how he was technically 'just down the road'--but they see Jesus as a mortal and GBB is one of those canons that treats it like the Greek pantheon is the only real one. Artemis subscribes to that notion, but it's more a matter of practicality (we haven't met any other pantheon and we knew Jesus was human so why should there be other gods out there?) and not because she strongly believes that the Olympians have to be the only pantheon around. So she was pleased and curious to meet people like Thor and Ammy in camp ( ... )
