Here in Philadelphia, the snow wasn't as crippling as in DC. The city got a foot or so, the suburbs a bit more. That's not enough to paralyze the city, but it's more than enough to be very pretty, and very, very fun ( Read more... )

Ah, the cherry blossoms are coming out in Vancouver. The city is driving snow up Cypress Mountain by dump truck.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. We've gotten a few inches (after weeks of nothing) and I've been grumbly about it. Snow is obnoxious. Bitter cold is just as bad.

There has been very little snow at all here in Toronto throughout January or the first week of February. I would welcome a proper dumping of snow. And I know what you mean; when it makes its rare appearance, it is delightful. (As somebody who grew up in northern Ontario, it's one of the things that I miss.)
