i just realized something
i´ve been going about this language thing all wrong. i mean i knew that i shouldn't be translating everything in my head in order to speak, but i didn't know how not to do that. And i think i just figured it out. I shouldn't be thinkng of what the spanish means in english, i mean, i need to think in terms and ideas rather than translations. so if i

Just saying hi- I never got in touch with you before you left to wish you a good trip, but it seems to be going well.
Just saying hi, and that I know what you mean about the language thing. I took Spanish for five years, and though I'm not good at all in it, I realized that toward the end, I just started related the spanish terms directly to the concept I was thinking of rather than to the English, which connected to the thought. That was good and helped much the remainder of the time I did it.
