I'm the best mom ever. Or, I should be arrested.

It all started when I took my daughter Sarah to the MotorCity Buffycon and we watched ASH perform "Sweet Transvestite" from The Rocky Horror Show. I told her about how back in the '70s when I was in High School we used to go to the midnight show of the movie and throw rice, hot dogs, toast, etc. and add lines to the movie. Hee. I finally saw the movie for the first time a few days ago. It was rather strange.

I hope you saw it with a large group of people who brought props and knew all of the lines. Because, otherwise, it's just not as good as you might expect it to be.

I saw the stage production at Rice, so I know about the audience participation bits. I watched it on DVD.

It is strange, but as Jenelope wrote, really fun in a large group. I have fond memories of seeing it in the theater in the 70's. It's probably one of the only fond memories I have of the '70s.

I pick option A, the best Mom ever. My Mom would never do that. My Mom complained that "people don't talk like that" when we watched The Usual Suspects. Yes, Mom, I'm sure that career criminals use only the most polite language when talking to each other.

It sounds like a great event in a young girl's night, and I'm sure Sarah will always remember it fondly (not with therapy).

Thanks. I'm sure she'll remember it fondly, or rather, I will make sure she remembers it when she is mad at me and thinks I'm no fun. I really enjoy doing this kind of thing with her. It was an added bonus that the show was at Meadowbrook's outdoor theater. She had never been there before.
