A/N: Well, this is the end, folks! I really hope you've enjoyed this fic as much as I enjoyed writing it, and I'd love to hear what you think =] Right, phew, I'm off to watch the Season 8 premier... Happy fangirling!
I loved the little notes you left in between...I loved the innocence of Dean and Castiel's relationship...I loved the story and the characters. Just wish there was more of the development of the above 'loved' relationship....somehow I feel it got lost in the shit they were dealing with.
Yeah, I got to the stage where the story was enormously long and I was spending heaps of time discussing Dean and Castiel's feelings and nothing was actually happening, so a lot of the scenes in which their relationship is actually developed had to go in favour of the plot, unfortunately. But I'm glad you liked the rest of it, and I hope the lack of Dean/Cas development didn't marr your enjoyment of the fic =]
Wow! Such high praise!! Well, I'm glad you liked it =] Thanks for reading, and thank you for taking the time to tell me what you thought; it really does mean a lot to me =]
The summary caught my eye and I wondered how you could make a story using slavery as its backdrop yet tie it in with Supernatural. Turns out quite easily. I really enjoyed the way that 'the narrater' was the humour covering the seriousness of the piece. I don't know whether you meant it as such or not, but almost like Dean's concious speaking. Being someone that uses humour as a defence mechanism I really appreciated it
( ... )
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed this =] I sort of tried out a couple of things you don't see that much in fanfic (or that I at least haven't come across very often), so it's good to know it worked out!
Thanks again for taking the time to review; I really appreciate it =]
A very unusual fic. Dean felt very different - still in character but very hardened and different. I enjoyed the different perspective. I really enjoyed the slow slide into falling in love with Cas from Dean. I think I would have liked more of Cas' viewpoint and perspective but overall this was a very enthralling story. I couldn't stop reading it.
Originally, there were actually a couple of scenes from Cas' point of view, but I thought that it changed the dynamic of the story and relationship too much if we knew what Castiel was thinking. I decided it would be okay to use for the epilogue, and thought that if I ever wrote any timestamps or short sequels to the fic, then I'd do them from Cas' point of view too...
But I'm really pleased you enjoyed this, and thanks for reviewing!
